So this is what a $170 million fan fiction looks like. And I mean that in the best possible way.
When an early trailer dropped back in late 2017 I spelled it out this way: James. Cameron. Is. A. Fan. Of. Battle. Angel.
Judging by the finished product I’d say that Director Robert Rodriguez is also a fan, and that most of the cast were at least OK with that. Rosa Salazar in particular delivers a superb performance as Alita[1], ably supported by Christoph Waltz as Doc Ido. Continue reading
