As told in a recent tweet thread linked after the jump.

(And, yes, it has pretty much been decades since I shaved regularly. I was never fond of it in the first place, and have to use an electric razor because I lack the coordination for a blade)

Whilst I’m playing this for some comedic value, the dire air quality persisting in Canberra, and which is likely to persist for quite some time, is a significant health risk for many. The ~300 or so ratings currently shown (as at the time of writing) are both dramatic improvements on recent weeks and still 50% above the hazardous level.

If you are also a resident of Canberra, I suggest checking out the advice provided by the government here. I’m not in a particularly high risk group (at least as far as I know), but I did bring filter masks back with me from Perth, and shaving is a necessary part of ensuring that they fit properly.

I would also draw your attention to the NSW Rural Fire Services donation page as this crisis is far from over.

But I hope you got a laugh out of this.
