The curators of the Weekly Photo Project on Google+ provided this nifty tutorial for the theme this week, but even with this I was struggling to see what I wanted. So, I elected to fill the frame with… frames.
I did have some other ideas but I wasn’t really sure about them. More after the cut, and let me know what you think:
And some more frames. Thanks to Civic Pro Frame for allowing me to shoot in their shop.
Question of the Post:Â Which one did you think best fit the theme?
The first would be the one that fits best… If you’d pulled in a little tighter and/or moved the matte board display. It’s a cultural thing, but we’re conditioned to follow arrows towards their points… With the matte board in the frame, you’ve got two sets of clashing lines – both of which are trying to pull the eye out of the picture in different directions.
Thanks! I didn’t want to move anything because it was a shop display but maybe some further cropping might improve it.
Never hurts to ask… 🙂
True. Well, if I’d thought of it. 🙂
Terrible pun 🙂 🙂
It was right there, I had to do it. Honest. 😜
