Here are the top 5 posts on Pirates of the Burley Griffin for 1st quarter of 2014:

  1.        The Reality of Idol Culture in Japan (February 2013)
  2.        Nagi no Asukara Part 1 (2013) with many, many spoilers (January 2014)
  3.        Hamatora (2014) will make your eyes bleed (January 2014)
  4.        Say “I Love You” (2012): Final Thoughts with Spoilers (December 2012)
  5.        10 Things in Board Games More Innovative Than Changing The Monopoly Tokens (January 2013)

After holding the number one spot for the first 3 quarters of 2013, and 2nd in the final quarter, it looks like Bodacious Space Pirates has finally left the building.

It now looks like The Reality of Idol Culture in Japan will be holding on to the number one spot for the foreseeable future.

The strong performance of the Nagi no Asukara post speaks to Nagiasu’s popularity. I am surprised that the Log Horizon review didn’t even come close to the top 5.

The Hamatora post was a throwaway “here’s why I’m not watching it”, so seeing that in third place is a bit of a surprise.

Say “I Love You” seems to be a steady performer, never at the top but never quite letting go either. Actually, that’s kind of appropriate for some of the characters in that show.

The “10 Things” post was an opportunity to mock Monopoly, and getting some attention for that is nice.
